Two people were stabbed during separate clashes ahead of the AC Milan vs PSG Champions League match in Milan, Sky News reported Tuesday.

The injured people include a football fan and a policeman.

Sky News reported that as many as 50 supporters of AC Milan have been accused of attacking the fans of PSG by throwing flares at them and using other means of violence in the Navigli area.

Amid the violence, a PSG supporter was stabbed in the leg twice and is now at the hospital receiving treatment.

The Frenchman — aged 34 — suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries, Italian media said.

In another clash, between police and PSG fans, a police officer was stabbed, but the suspect has been arrested.

In response, AC Milan deplored the violence. “Football for us is passion, not hate. Sport is supposed to unite, not divide,” the cub said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In the same area of the city in September, a Newcastle United fan was stabbed ahead of the team’s Champions League fixture against AC Milan.
